It often doesn't matter what flagship smartphone you're waiting patiently to get your hands on. Whatever that device may be, there is going to be a clone of it from China. The newest trend in these clones is to release them before the "original" device makes it to market. We've already seen an
iPhone 6 clone, and now there is a Galaxy Note 4 clone from Goophone.
The Goophone N4 looks like what we can imagine Samsung unveiling with the Galaxy Note 4 at its UNPACKED event on
September 3rd. Of course, the specs of the Goophone N4 don't come anywhere close to what is expected with the Note 4. The Goophone N4 features a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3200mAh battery. That alone doesn't sound terrible, but big question mark with the Goophone is the 1.7GHz octacore MediaTek MT6592 processor. The MT6592 did score well on
AnTuTu benchmarks for CPU, but the
GPU performance was on par with a Snapdragon 200.
Of course, Goophone customers wouldn't be choosing Goophones if they prioritized the specs and performance over the price. The new Goophone N4 will be made available to customers in China soon. No word on the price right now.
