Google rolls out February security patch to Nexus and Pixel devices; factory images and OTA files released
Now the search giant published the Android security bulletin for the month of February, which contains information about the vulnerabilities addressed in this patch.
There are no less than 36 issues addressed in the February security patch, but the most severe is a critical security vulnerability that could enable remote code execution on an affected device through multiple methods such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files.
Along with the OTA files, Google also released factory images for the following compatible devices: Pixel XL, Pixel, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi), and Nexus 9 (LTE).
