Google and Emogi team up to bring animated stickers on the Google mobile keyboard
Emogi (not Emoji) has just announced it has partnered with Google to bring thousands of animated stickers on Gboard, the popular mobile keyboard application. Apparently, animated stickers are 3.6 times more likely to be shared within chats than their static counterparts, so Emogi's content will allow Gboard users to continue to express themselves sharing these stickers.
Moreover, Emogi confirmed that these animated stickers for Gboard will be updated on a daily basis so that fans of Google's keyboard can make use of the latest trends on the internet.
Keep in mind that in order to make use of the new animated stickers, you'll need to download Emogi for Gboard, which can be found in the Google Play Store. Of course, it's free to download and doesn't feature any ads.
Starting today, Emogi is sharing its library of original sticker content with Gboard users. Emogi’s content enriches conversations - we’re here to help Gboard users express themselves better when text isn’t enough. We are excited to join Google in partnership, said Emogi CEO and Founder Travis Montaque.
For those unaware, Emogi is a rather large platform that gathers together a huge collection of emoji, stickers, and GIFs and integrates it into messaging conversations. According to Emogi, its platform is used by 40 million users each month thanks to partnerships with various high-profile messaging apps like iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and now Gboard.
