Official YouTube app goes live on compatible Fire TV devices
The collaboration between Amazon and Google continue to make wonders for customers who use one or more of their platforms. Amazon announced recently that Google's YouTube app will be available worldwide on compatible Fire TV devices.

If you own a Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick Basic Edition, as well as any Fire TV Edition smart TV, you'll be able to take advantage of the YouTube app starting this week.

Moreover, Amazon announced that additional Fire TV devices will be added to the list of YouTube compatible devices in the coming months and that two other Google apps – YouTube TV and YouTube Kids will arrive on Fire TV devices later this year.

According to Amazon, the official YouTube app should now appear in the “Your Apps and Channels” tab on all compatible Fire TV devices, so that you can select, download and install the app to start streaming.

The app supports up to 4K HDR video at 60fps and will work with Amazon's Alexa. Thanks to the latter, you'll be able to find, launch and control your entertainment using voice commands like “Alexa, watch music videos on YouTube.” You can also use your voice to play, pause, resume, fast-forward and rewind, as well as go skip to the next video.
