Google Sync gets support for push Gmail on the iPhone and Windows Mobile handsets
The owners of iPhone, Windows Mobile and Symbian S60 cell phones can now synchronize their Gmail contacts and Google calendar with Google Sync. Earlier today, Google also announced the service supports push Gmail via Microsoft Exchange Active Sync. The company said the function was only available to iPhone and WM-based devices and didn´t mention when we could expect to see it working with Symbian S60 handsets, that also support Microsoft Exchange.
Google Sync utilizes the standard email clients integrated into the operating systems, so you don´t need to install additional applications. iPhone owners will have to make sure their handsets have been updated to iPhone OS version 3.0.
