Google Product Search - now available to all users... in certain countries
About a week ago we reported that optimized Google search had become available to feature phones users. One of the functions that was missing however, was the Product Search (shows you where and at what price you can purchase the device you are hunting for) that was only accessible to owners of the iPhone, Palm Pre and Android-based smartphones.
The good news coming from Google is their Product Search is now available to all phone users with Internet access. The bad news is this only applies to residents of the US, UK, Germany and South Korea. Let´s hope the list of supported countries, where the service is supported will grow fast.
Another function being currently advertised by the software giant is the so-called Google Suggest that provides alternatives to the item you are looking for on the Product Search page. Unfortunately, the novelty is currently available to owners of the iPhone, Palm Pre and Android-based handsets in the US only, but we hope Google has more nice things in store for all of us in the coming months.
