You can now pre-order the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, starting at $649
Just minutes after their announcement, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are now available to be pre-ordered from the online Google Store or Verizon Wireless, which is also the exclusive carrier in the US for Pixel. While the phones are expected to ship on October 20, you might want to pre-order a unit early on to make sure that one will be reserved for you when deliveries commence.

The Pixels are available in three colors: black, white and blue, while prices start from $649 – Google is clearly going for flagship-level pricing here. The Pixel and Pixel XL are designed to be no-compromise smartphones that can rival your iPhone 7 or Galaxy S7.

The Pixel with 5" screen will cost $649 for the 32 GB version, and $749 for the 128 GB version. Meanwhile, the bigger, 5.5" variant, called Pixel XL, will set you back $769 for the 32 GB version, and $869 for the 128 GB version. These prices are identical with what Apple's charging for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, so it's easy to see Google as some sort of a challenger here.

You can pre-order the Pixel and Pixel XL here.

So, are you going to pre-order a Pixel phone? Share your thoughts in the comments!
