Google announces October 9 event in Paris; European Pixel 3 debut likely
After much speculation, Google finally confirmed last week that it would be holding an event in New York City on October 9. At the event, the company is expected to announce a whole range of products that include the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. But today, the company has sent out invites to another event on October 9. Only this time it’s taking place in Paris.
Although this event is separate to the previously-announced on in New York, Google is set to host the two gatherings simultaneously. Moreover, while New York will serve as the Pixel 3’s debut in North America, the Paris event is expected to act as the smartphone’s debut in Europe. This suggests that Google will push its next two smartphones quite heavily in the continent. In addition to this, the internet giant is expected to emphasize the wide range of languages that are now supported by the Google Assistant, as well as potentially unveiling updated Google Home hardware or a wider availability of its current products in Europe.
All in all, nothing extra is expected from Google’s Paris event. Instead, the announcement simply confirms that Google is now taking the European market much more seriously. Also, it could precede a big campaign to market its devices once all announcements have taken place.
