Google's Pixel 3 XL first camera samples leak out, make lone cameras great again
It's an old adage - 'Google can do with one camera what others can't do with three' - but, judging from what are claimed to be the first camera samples taken with a pre-production Pixel 3 XL unit, it's totally valid.
We kid the P20 Pro, currently the only phone with three cameras - it is actually capable of taking some amazing photos, especially with the Night mode - yet the Pixel 3 XL seems to be on par with much less impressive camera setup. Even with what is most likely not a retail unit yet, the dynamic range is pretty amazing, colors are vibrant, yet not oversaturated, and the objects very well defined, without a hint of softness or artificial sharpening in the frame.
Be patient, as these are the full-res samples from the Insta account of a Moscow tech blogger who apparently has the device in his hands, as he already leaked plenty of new high-res pictures of its design and retail box.
To wit, the Pixel 3 XL is expected to land with a giant 6.7" display housing a top notch, Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4GB RAM, and unimpressive on paper, but pretty breathtaking in reality, single 12MP camera on the back. Oh, there is a portrait shot as well, but it's not clear whether it's taken with the front-facing shooter, or still the rear camera.
