Google Photos updated with new search, customization and file management options

1comment

Google is happy to announce an update to Google Photos app and service is rolling out now. With the new changes and additions, users will be able to find their photos quicker and easier, thanks to a new search bar. Just tap on it and type your query to start searching, or scroll down to see faces, places, and photo types recognized from within your library.

Moreover, Google Photos now features the ability of customizing the automatically generated movies and slideshows it makes with the addition of your own music, photos, and videos. This way, you can create a delightful video of your holiday or trip with minimal fiddling and confusion. Google has also made it possible to rename or delete device folders and to also manage content stored on SD cards by adding new folders, copying, and moving photos.

The latest version of Google Photos is available in Google Play (link) and is about to hit the Apple App Store soon-ish.
