Google Currents for iOS has been lagging behind the Android version as far as features, and really it has been one of the less frequently updated apps in Google's arsenal. But, the iOS version of Currents got a pretty solid update today that includes audio playlists, and a number of other new features.
The audio playlists feature is one that came to Android a while back, and it lets you do what it says and build a playlist with any audio clips in your Currents feeds. There is also an option to change the pagination of articles to vertical rather than horizontal, which is a very nice change for long articles. The last major feature is the option to pinch-to-zoom on pictures.
As you would expect, there are also the requisite bug fixes and performance updates. If you want to grab the update, just head over to the iTunes App Store.
