Gigabyte GSmart G1355 unveiled: affordable dual-SIM Android with 4.3-inch display
Here’s another affordable Android device that combines dual-SIM functionality with a huge 4.3-inch screen - the Gigabyte GSmart G1355. Now, getting the price tag to affordable, though, still required compromises and the biggest compromise in the GSmart G1355 is its Qualcomm MSM7227T chipset with Adreno 200 graphics, the processor clocked at 800MHz and 512MB of RAM.
This is the same chip that powers devices like the Samsung Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Gio and LG Optimus Hub. It will have a harder task though, as the GSmart G1355 comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, which translates into more pixels for processing.
On the back, there’s a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, and the memory is expandable via microSD cards.
Now, sizewise the device is not strikingly huge, but it’s pretty heavy at nearly 6 ounces (170 g). The GSmart G1355 is expected to hit shelves very soon - at the end of this month, but the actual price remains a mystery.
