Getting brackets ready for March Madness? There will be an app for that
March has a special place in the hearts of sports fans. The college basketball tournaments are exciting and continuous throughout the month as dozens of teams compete to be the champion.

Affectionately known as March Madness, the top college basketball teams from around the country engage in thrilling, high energy basketball games, appealing to casual fans as well as those ultra-serious fans (you know the type).  One of the pass times during March Madness is getting together with friends and making scoring brackets and placing bets with folks in the office or buddies at the bar.  People from all walks of life get in on the action.

There are sporting apps that accommodate the team brackets, but two developers have put their skills to good use and rethought the best way to make use of the iPhone’s screen, and make the app functional in scoring as well as keeping tabs with your friends.

The app is called Simple Bracket. Dan Provost and Tom Gerhardt in New York City have put their vision up on Kickstarter to help cover development and server costs. The good news is that Dan and Tom have reached their goal. We wanted to share the idea about the app for you sports fans and if you wanted to kick in a $1 you will get a download code to install the app on your iPhone.

If you are an Android user, this year it looks like you are out of luck, but the developers promised to expand the idea if things are a success this year. From the looks of things, this app is on its way to doing that. The application is essentially done. Dan and Tom are polishing things up and have a beta testing pool ready to go. If you are interested in supporting them, different contributions yield extra goodies along with the app.

Check out the video and get ready to support your team, you want to support Dan and Tom, check out their Kickstarter page here.
