Get your Tweet on with the official Twitter app for the iPad
Some would've surmised to see the iPad get an expedited treatment for an official Twitter app, but it's just now that we're finally getting comfy with one. The official Twitter client for the iPad is now available for download and brings along some neat features that make it a strong contender against some of the existing ones available for the platform. Naturally, this version fully takes advantage of the larger sized real estate as there are Panes connected to various Tweets. When you do tap on a tweet, a new pane will open up and reveal additional content such as a video, photo, or even a news story. If it happens to be a video link, you can swipe through your time-line as the video commences to load – making it a quick and swift experience moving around. Of course, gestures are heavily employed throughout the client as you can simply put two fingers together and pull down on a Tweet to glance at replies. So if those other Twitter clients for the iPad have been pretty much ho-hum, you might as well check out what the team from Twitter has to offer.
