Samsung Gear S2 gets a massive update, check the new interface and functions
To start off, there is a new App Shortcuts widget that arranges your most recent apps in the Gear S-line's signature circular format automatically, yet you can still pick what will be shown there manually. Moreover, a short pull-down gesture there will bring the Quick Panel menu with connectivity switches and other toggles.
The Gear S2 is a mighty exercise companion, and Samsung's Health app has made reading your pace and heart rate score easier on the eyes, available with just a short peek at the screen. The fresh Multi-workout widget will give you quick access to a preferred activity now, if you have set one, and the inactivity alerts can be tailored better so as not to interrupt in a bad time.
There are more options to use the Gear S2 as a controller now, with dedicated apps for TV, Gear VR or presentations, while Samsung extends the usefulness with a new full weather report that gets pushed to your watch each morning, along with a forecast, so you never leave unprepared. Svelte.
