Galaxy S6 Active now listed on Samsung's website, an official announcement could be around the corner
Samsung will likely announce the Galaxy S6 Active in the near future, as it's now mentioning the handset on its official website.

While the new smartphone doesn't have a web page of its own yet, it's listed among the devices that can participate in Samsung's Plus program, which "provides additional benefits to valued customers, offering you peace of mind with each Samsung device purchased."

The S6 Active is listed as a distinct device between the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Earlier this week, we saw several images that allegedly presented the S6 Active, showing it to look a lot like last year's Galaxy S5 Active (having a similar three-button layout on the front).

If previous rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy S6 Active should have a pretty large 3600 mAh battery inside. Naturally, the handset will be rugged and water-resistant, while also offering some of the features that we can find on the regular S6, including a Quad HD display, heart rate sensor, and an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor. AT&T will probably be the first carrier (and possibly the only US one) to sell the Galaxy S6 Active. But that remains to be confirmed.

Would you get a Galaxy S6 Active instead of a regular S6, or an S6 edge?
