Samsung has a history of launching special edition phones in its homeland of South Korea. From the
Galaxy S5 Plus back in the day to the
Galaxy Note FE that launched this month. A leakster is claiming that the
Galaxy Note 8 might have its own super-powered edition that has a chance to be limited to the South Korean market as well.
We are not sure if this is an issue with translation, but it seems that the suggested device is called the Note 8 Emperor edition. It is said that while the “regular” Note 8 would have 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM, this special beast would sport 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Is this rumor to be believed? We'd take it with a grain of salt, sure, but it doesn't sound too far fetched. There was a
special edition of the Galaxy S8+ sold in South Korea and China — it had 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. It cost a pretty penny, but eventually sold out.
So, who's to say that Sammy won't push the envelope just a bit further with the Note 8?
