Galaxy Note 5 European launch might be delayed
It's an odd year to be a fan of Samsung's phablet family that arguably pioneered the big-screen craze. Not only does it seem that the Note 5 unveiling will be pulled forward with about three weeks or so, arguably to combat the larger iPhone 6s Plus release in September, but it seems that the European launch of said phablet might be put on the backburner for now.
As per the source, Samsung's software devs are hard at work on the Note 5's firmware for the following regions: North America, South Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Asia, but Samsung Europe and Samsung Russia are twiddling their thumbs for now. This could indicate that Samsung would indeed make a mid-August announcement in New York and other places, then release the phone there earlier than usual, as these markets are the biggest fans of the phablet line.
Europe, on the other hand, could follow a more typical Note 5 launch schedule, with arrival in late September or early October. In any case, it is shaping up to be one very, very unorthodox Samsung summer, especially if we see a 5.7" Galaxy S6 edge Plus announced alongside the Note 5.
