Front panel of Motorola Moto X4 leaked; screen to be shatterproof like the DROID Turbo 2?

The latest leaked photo of the next-generation Motorola Moto X4 has surfaced. We can see the fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. According to the latest rumors, the screen is not only an AMOLED display, it also will be shatterproof thanks to Motorola's ShatterShield technology. That is the same system used to make the display shatterproof on the Motorola DROID Turbo 2.

Yesterday, we passed along several leaks including images of what is alleged to be the Moto X4 and a new Motorola DROID handset that is coming to Verizon. The DROID render had many similarities to the Moto X4 image. You might recall that last year's Motorola DROID MAXX 2 was really the Motorola Moto X Play re-labeled by Verizon.

The Moto G4 Plus and the Motorola Moto G are expected to be unveiled on May 17th during a Motorola media event. The Moto X4 could be announced on August 24th, which is the date shown on the screen of the renders.

Thanks for the tip!
