Front of Apple iPhone SE leaks; Ming-Chi Kuo sees 12MP camera on the back
Yesterday, we told you that according to a new report, Apple would be naming its new 4-inch handset the Apple iPhone SE. If true, it would be the first iPhone not to have a number in its name since the very first Apple iPhone was launched in 2007. We've heard a lot about the 4-inch iPhone that might take a step backward in screen-size, but will be almost as powerful and full of features as the Apple iPhone 6s.

Today, we get our first look at the front of the phone thanks to French website NWE. The site says that the leaked photos of the phone come from a source that has proven to be reliable in the past. Comparing the square-cornered device to a similar shot of the Apple iPhone 6s confirms that 3D Touch will not be available on the new 4-inch model (note the lack of the protective metal plate on the iPhone SE).

Despite the lack of 3D Touch, Apple is expected to equip the phone with the Live Photos feature that allows users to see a 3-second video clip of their latest photograph. Connected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the iPhone SE to include a 12MP rear camera instead of the 8MP snapper that most others expect.

Kuo adds that the iPhone SE will be priced at $400 to $500 USD and will be available in two versions. One will come with 16GB of internal storage, the other will feature 64GB of storage. The iPhone SE will be powered by a 1642mAh battery, and will be equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 and  Wi-Fi 802.11ac. We expect the phone to be unveiled during an Apple media event that is rumored to take place on March 15th, and launched three days later.

Thanks for the tip!
