Foursquare beta app for Series 40 handsets is now available for download
Good news coming to the way of Nokia Series 40 users out there because one popular location based social networking app is finally available for the platform.
Foursquare is building up plenty of steam, but now it’s extending its reach to Series 40 handsets as a beta version of the Foursquare app is finally ready for the taking. Although it might not embody the full set of features found with its counterparts on other competing platforms, it should still nonetheless provide some of the more widely used functions of the app. Specifically, it’ll feature the ability to check-in to venues, shout something, places search, managing friend requests, and the ability to add a place.
The application, which is Java-based, will work on Series 40 devices like the Nokia 5310, 6600 Fold, 7230, C3-00, C3-01, and even the X3-02. Don’t fret if we didn’t mention your device because the optimized app will even work on other Series 40 devices out there. Lastly, this isn’t going to be the last time you’ll be hearing about the Series 40 Foursquare app since Nokia intends on fine tuning it and adding more features down the road.
