Foursquare app for Windows Phone 7 jumps to v2.0 with updated design & new features
As we’ve reported already, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform is getting a lot of love and attention with its apps community, but the platform is heavily focused on providing quality apps that are sure to impress handset owners all around.
Well, we’re now seeing that kind of quality with version 2.0 of the Foursquare app for Windows Phone 7 – though, the app is actually being re-released after the original app was pulled from the Windows Marketplace not too long ago. Now that it’s back in full form, the latest version of the popular location based social networking app brings forth a revamped new design that’s more suited for the platform’s Metro UI look and feel. Additionally, it features new things like the ability to quickly check-in and a new live tile to keep you in check at all times. Moreover, you’ll be presented with a host of specials based on your location or places where your friends have checked in.
If you’ve been using the original app, or want to try it for the very first time, you can now download it through the Windows Marketplace for free right now. Naturally, it doesn’t hurt to check it out.
