Some of us mobile users just adore Foursquare's functionality of letting all of our friends know about all the trendy, cool, and sometimes ordinary places we commonly find ourselves going on a daily basis. Meanwhile, there are some consequences that our smartphones have to pay when we constantly use Foursquare to check-in.
If you're sporting a BlackBerry, you're in for a minor update to the popular app that might not offer some new functionality you haven't seen before, but most of its wonders are found behind the scenes as it hosts a few bug fixes and enhancements. Specifically, version 1.9.9 of the BlackBerry Foursqaure app mainly focuses its attention on optimizing battery like and push notifications. Aside from that, there really isn't anything else new about it, but we'd imagine that users will appreciate it nonetheless – even more when it can extend the life of their already battery friendly BlackBerry smartphones.
