Few products caused for as much buzz and controversy as Apple's AirPods. The truly wireless earbuds from the Cupertino giant are packing quite a lot of tech inside, and although the appearance of the AirPods created for a lot of talk at first, the delayed release of the earbuds was arguably more controversial than their looks. Originally scheduled to be up for purchase in October, Apple didn't get around to releasing AirPods until December. The
end result ended up being quite good, but the time that it took for AirPods to finally hit the scene certainly wasn't all that pleasing.
One of the main reasons as to why AirPods work so well has to do with the W1 chip that's baked inside of them. This chip is what allows AirPods to work so magically with other Apple-branded products, and that same tech is baked inside of both the PowerBeats3 and BeatsX. However, whereas PowerBeats3 have been available for purchase for some time now, BeatsX have yet to be released despite an initial launch date of December.
We caught wind of a report that BeatsX would be getting pushed to a February release back on December 13, and according to a new report from
iStockNow, the release of BeatsX is now "imminent."
iStockNow has reported that BeatsX were falsely announced as a go in Europe on January 31, Apple Stores are supposedly "all ready" for the product's launch, and there was also some suspected activity for BeatsX over on their product page on Best Buy's website. We still don't have a confirmed date as to when in February BeatsX will finally be launching, but with numerous reports of activity from sites that'll be selling the product taking place, we think it's safe to say that you won't have to wait too much longer before you can grab a pair of BeatsX for yourself.
