Flipboard for Android update improves navigation and more
Last week, popular news and social feeds reader Flipboard was updated for iOS users, and on Saturday the update came to Android. The new version, 1.9.6, brings easier navigation through the use of drop-down menus that appear when you tap on the section you're viewing. You will also find an improvement in the method used to display feeds from Google Reader.

You might remember that Flipboard was originally launched for the Apple iPad and eventually became available for the Apple iPhone. The app was an exclusive on the Android powered Samsung Galaxy S III for a short time until it became available to the entire platform. The new update also brings in-app hints that reveal features that could come in handy. Those using the shopping cart feature Guilt Taste through Flipboard will notice some positive changes, and of course there is the usual performance improvements and bug fixes.
