First official Nokia 2 pictures emerge, show front and back sides of the budget phone

Supposedly the cheapest smartphone to be launched by HMD this year, the Nokia 2 will probably be revealed later this month along with the Finnish company's flagship, the Nokia 8.

A few sketches of the Nokia 2 leaked online last week made after a prototype unit running in the wild. Today, the phone was spotted at FCC (Federal Communications Commissions), along with a few pictures that show its front and back sides.

HMD seems to have designated model number TA-1029 to the Nokia 2. Aside from that, there aren't any details about the phone's specs, except maybe for the fact that it will feature Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

However, rumors claim Nokia 2 will sport a 4.7- or 5.0-inch display with HD (720p) resolution and a low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor. Other than that, the upcoming budget-friendly smartphone is still a mystery to us.

HMD Global is expected to introduce the Nokia 8 on August 16, but other devices could be announced at the launch event as well, and Nokia 2 could be one of them. Hopefully, we'll be able to learn more about HMD's upcoming Android smartphones before they're being unveiled.
