Square Enix has just announced the highly-acclaimed Final Fantasy XV will make its debut on mobile devices later this year. After taking on the console, Noctis and his friends will now try and get as many mobile players addicted as possible.

Dubbed Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, the game will be launched on both Android and iOS devices at some point this year. If you've played the PlayStation 4 game, then you'll be able to relive your journey through Eos on the smaller screens.

According to Square Enix, the mobile game features the main characters and story of the console version, but with an “adorable art style and casual touch controls optimized for mobile devices.”

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will include ten chapters, but only the first one will be available for free. The good news is all the chapters will be up for grabs at launch if you want to spend money to experience the entire adventure in one go.

You can check out a short trailer and some screenshots of the mobile game. Hopefully, it won't cost too much like most Final Fantasy games, except for that really crappy free-to-play Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire game.
