Feature packed Disney themed Android smartphone is headed to Japan
The last time we heard the words “Disney” and “mobile phone” in the news was way back in 2006 when the FCC approved the Disney D100 handset – which was a fully functional quad-band GSM phone. After some time away from the mobile industry, it appears as though that Disney is positioning a comeback – but this time around, their upcoming device is headed only to the Japanese market.
Surprisingly, this isn't some cartoonish looking handset intended to be handled by your toddler, but instead, it's a full fledged smartphone running Android 2.2 Froyo with some reasonable specs in tow. In fact, it features a 3.8” no-glasses 3D touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 9.6-megapixel camera. Naturally, the handset will be glorified from head to toe with its Disney flavored customized experience with things like apps, widgets, and wallpapers.

And for those who decide to make a purchase, they'll be given a prestigious @disney.ne.jp email address as well as the option to choose a nifty Disney case for their smartphone. So yeah, for all you Disney fanatics out there, this one should be something that you won't mind showing off to friends and family.
