Facebook brings Ad Breaks to 21 more countries, includes support for six languages
After launching Ad Breaks in five countries (US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand) last month, Facebook announced it has expanded their availability to 21 more countries. These mid-video ads now feature support for English and five new languages: French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai.
If you're a publisher or a content creator in the following countries, you'll now be able to join Ad Breaks and try to monetize your videos on Facebook:
According to Facebook, the Ad Breaks program has been a success, as more than 20% of eligible publishers and creators in the initial five countries and about 10% of those Pages made over $1,000 in just two weeks.
Naturally, if you're a simple Facebook user in the countries mentioned above, you'll start seeing ads in the middle of longer videos from various publishers and content creators.
Also, Facebook confirmed plans to further expand the availability of Ad Breaks to more languages and more markets over the coming weeks.
- Europe: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden
- Latin and South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru
- Asia: Thailand
