Facebook Messenger's new Unsend messages option gets confirmed
The option to unsend messages on Facebook Messenger is coming soon, the social network giant recently confirmed. We reported back in October about the functionality, pointing out the benefits and disadvantages of the Unsend messages option.
The confirmation of the new functionality comes directly from Facebook in the form of a note at the bottom of the changelog of the latest Messenger for iOS app update. The note mentions the option to remove a message from a chat thread after being sent.

Coming soon: Remove a message from a chat thread after it’s been sent. If you accidentally send the wrong photo, incorrect information, or message the wrong thread, you can easily correct it by removing the message within 10 minutes of sending it.
Having the option to remove a message from a chat thread after it's been sent is great, but a 10-minute window seems a bit short. Even so, it's better to have such an option available for a limited time rather than not at all.
Now, it remains to be seen when exactly Facebook will make the option to unsend messages available to everyone because “coming soon” doesn't tells us too much about that.
