Facebook Live update adds new ways to interact with friends on Android and iOS
Live Chat With Friends is available for both Android and iOS users. The new feature allows Facebook Live users to invite their friends to a private chat about a public live broadcast. It's not required to invite friends who are watching the broadcast, as any person in your friend list can join the private chat.
According to Facebook, the new Live Chat With Friends will be tested on Android and iOS in several countries and should be available to everyone later this summer.
Next, Live With lets users invite friends into their live video. Unfortunately, this one will only be available on iOS devices. On the bright side, the new feature is already up and running for all profiles and Pages on iOS.
Also, you'll be able to go live with a guest in both portrait mode (picture-in-picture) and landscape mode (side-by-side). It's worth pointing out that your friend doesn't need to be in the same place as you to join your live video.

In order to invite your friend to join a live video, you must select a guest from the Live Viewers section, or tap a comment from that particular viewer. Your friend can decline your invitation if he/she doesn't want to appear in your video.
