Exclusive new images of the LG Chocolate Touch VX8575
One of the more elusive phones to be released by Verizon later this year is the LG VX8575, known as the Chocolate Touch. We first heard rumors this summer that Verizon was going to get a CDMA variant of the BL40, and then shortly after the VX8575 passed the FCC. Then a few weeks ago the first images of the Chocolate Touch appeared, and it was apparent that it was not a BL40 cousin. In fact, our source within Verizon told us that there was two prototype models of the VX8575. One of them closely resembled the BL40, but "focus groups" didn't care for that style of phone, so it was scrapped and the "other" VX8575 is what will be released. This upset quite a few people, as the BL40 is the must-have LG device and we were looking forward to it coming to Verizon. But alas, the Chocolate Touch looks more like a "LG Dare 2" with a 3.2MP camera, 3.5mm headset jack, HTML browser, multitasking music player, and WVGA TFT display. The menu themes have been updated with more of a "music look" and there is even a direct link to Microsoft's Bing search page.
