Essential Phone gets more improvements via Camera app update
Essential is slowly but surely adding new features and improvements to its only smartphone, PH-1. The latest enhancements come via an update to the Essential Camera app, one of the more sensitive aspects of Essential's smartphone.
If you remember, Essential added the option to share 360 photos to the Camera app a few months ago, but the latest update makes it even easier to share pictures or videos as a Snapshot, Pano, or Tiny Planet. Moreover, Essential Phone users can turn 360 photos into short Panoramic or Tiny Planet animations.
As far as the settings go, Essential redesigned a couple of aspects of the app to make it cleaner and easier to use. The developers offer the best description of these changes, so here it goes:

Settings have turned to the dark side. They're not evil. We just removed the large, white box and gave it a dark, opaque overlay—so it blends in better with the viewfinder. And it now comes from the top (innovation!).
Finally, the Essential Camera app received a couple of tweaks and adjustments as well, but some of them might be invisible to the eye. Even if Essential won't launch another smartphone in the near future, at least they're dedicated to offering the best support they can to everyone who bought an Essential Phone.
