Essential Camera update adds new Tiny Planet mode and flash for the selfie camera
Great news for Essential Phone users who want to make the best of their camera features, as the US company behind the unique device has just pushed another update for the Essential Camera app.
The app that provides the necessary software algorithms for the Essential Phone's camera has been updated with new features and improvements. The most interesting is the new Tiny Planet camera mode, which adds a small planet on the background of your 360 photos and videos.
The Tiny Planet mode is still in beta, so be patient if you notice any issues with the new feature. Also, Essential Phone users will now be able to edit, save and share their 360 photos and video as Tiny Planet directly in the Essential Camera app. On top of that, it's possible to capture still images from the Tiny Planet videos.
To replace the lack of a selfie flash, Essential added a new feature the will allow the screen to illuminate when taking a picture with the front camera in low light. That's pretty neat, right? Finally, some stability fixes have been implemented as well, so you should notice the camera app is much smoother now.
