Edit your video before uploading it with YouTube's new mobile trimmer
YouTube has added a new trimming feature which allows you to control exactly where a video you are uploading to the site will begin and end. The feature is built right into the YouTube app. Based on images showing the trimming in action, users will drag on still frames of a video using "handles" to start and end the video exactly where the user wants.
Another feature added to the YouTube app gives users the opportunity to view their handiwork with an inline preview before pressing the "upload now" button. This makes sure that the video is exactly as they want it (including the trimming) before it is too late to make any changes.
Google is said to be working on other new things for YouTube to offer budding young directors such as Instagram styled filters, and licensed music to replace their audio. But those are for future updates. Today is all about the trim.

We should point out before we go, that it isn't clear whether this feature has been added yet to the iOS version of YouTube.
