Doogee Y100 Plus announced with a 5.5-inch screen, MT-6735 SoC and a 3000mAh battery
Back in June, we showed you how Doogee planned on marketing the Y100 Pro. After noticing too many shards of broken 2.5D glass all over the floor following drop tests, the up and coming smartphone manufacturer decided to strengthen the display with a special version of Gorilla glass that is .8mm thicker than Corning's regular version. This not only rectified the problem, it allowed Doogee to film an ad showing how the screen can be used to crack walnuts!

Today, Doogee introduced the Doogee Y100 Plus. The model has everything that the Y100 Pro has, but adds a larger 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 resolution screen as opposed to the 5-incher on the Pro. And with a larger screen comes more demand on the battery. So the 2200mAh cell has been swapped for a 3000mAh juicer.

The rest of the specs include a MediaTek MT-6735 SoC under the hood, with a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal storage. Those requiring additional memory can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A Sony sensor is employed on the rear-facing 13MP camera, and an Omni-Vision sensor can be found on the 8MP front-facing snapper. The handset supports Cat.4 4G LTE connectivity, and includes dual SIM slots.

There is no word on when the Doogee Y100 Plus will be launched, and the pricing is also unknown.

Thank for the tip!
