Dell M01M001 gets approved by the GCF - possibly a smartphone or netbook?
Most recently a device from Dell was seen being approved over at the Global Certification Forum which has everyone guessing to what it is exactly. The Dell “M01M001” over at the GCF provides little details on what kind of shape this device will eventually turn out to become as rumors point to it possibly being a netbook or Android powered smartphone. The only thing that is known about the M01M001 is that it features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity for the European/Asian 900/2100 MHz bands. The only additional piece of information about it is that it’s confirmed to support MMS. With that in mind, it could also potentially turn out to be something similar to the Dell Mini 5 that’s really making a name for itself thanks to its somewhat larger than life size. Dell is no doubt attempting to attack a variety of segments as they dive further into the wireless landscape while still retaining a solid grasp in the PC market.
