Deal: save $150 on the brand new and unlocked LG G5
The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
The battle of the Android flagships is well under way for this year, with the recent Moto Z series having joined the likes of the HTC 10 and Samsung Galaxy S7. Perpetually found playing in the shadows of its South Korean counterpart, LG has sought to make some noise this time around with the modular G5. With the device having been unveiled back in February, the price is already starting to fall, and thanks to Amazon, you can snag yourself a new and unlocked G5 for $499.99.
The G5 has a list price on Amazon of $649.99, though has been hovering around the $600 mark for some time. For just under 500 bucks, you can score yourself the 32 GB Titan (Dark Gray) variant, while the silver model remains at over $600.
Along with the numerous add-ons available, the G5 is not exactly short on power. There's the Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm along with the customary 4 gigs of RAM, while the rear-facing 'duo' camera includes flash and an f/1.8 aperture. The from a design point of view, the slick primed aluminum and glass finish offers a welcome departure from the plasticky housing of old.
The bottom of the device slides out like a sock drawer to reveal a 2800 mAh battery, which, in a break from the current flagship norm, is changeable. The battery is just the beginning of the story, though, for this compartment is also where your Friends hardware can be swapped out depending on the features you'd like to endow your G5 with.
If you've been waiting for the price to drop before grabbing the LG G5, now seems like the ideal time to purchase. It's considerably cheaper than its launch price, yet still new enough so as not to feel like its successor is anywhere near.
