If you only have $300 to spend on a high-end unlocked smartphone, perhaps you'll want to know that Sony's Xperia XZ now costs $299.99 - brand new - at B&H. We're talking about the official US variant of the phone, which obviously comes with a warranty for Stateside consumers. These units are intended for GSM carriers like T-Mobile and AT&T. This means that you won't get LTE if you're on a CDMA carrier like Sprint or Verizon.
As a reminder, the handset was initially released for $699.99 in the US (back in October of 2016), so it's not among Sony's newest devices. Still, it's not a bad proposition at this price point.
Some of the main features of the Xperia XZ include the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3 GB RAM and a 5.2-inch, 1080 x 1920 display. There's also a 23-megapixel main camera with 4K video recording among other treats, and a 13-megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens for those all-important group selfies. A 2,900 mAh battery keeps the lights on.
