Discounts on top-end handsets are great, and even sweeter when they're official. Starting tomorrow, HTC is shaving a tidy $150 off its flagship HTC 10, with the device set to retail at $549.

The Taiwanese firm has had the device running $100 off at $599 throughout September so technically, this is a $50 discount. However, we're not going to balk at continual price drops, particularly with a phone as good as the HTC 10. As we shared in our review, it's a really well-built, powerful handset with beauty as well as brawn.

If you've been waiting for the handset to fall in price, you'll surely be pleased by HTC's tweet earlier today:

The HTC 10 sports a 5.2-inch, 1440 x 2560 display and like many of this year's top-tier handsets, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC. There's also 4 GB RAM, 64 GB expandable storage, a 3000 mAh battery and a 12-megapixel main camera. A full checklist of the device's specs can be found here

The price applies to all color configurations of the HTC 10 from October 1st through October 8th. If you're not looking for this device in particular, HTC has several other promotions on the table as part of its 'Green is Good' celebrations, including $80 off the Desire 626 and Desire 626s
