Cox TV subscribers can now stream live TV on certain Android tablets
Since the end of 2011, Cox TV subscribers could stream live television over their Apple iPad using the Cox TV Connect app. A year later, Apple iPhone and Apple iPod touch users could also use the same app. However, it had been missing from the Google Play Store. But now, a limited number of Android tablets now support the Cox TV Connect app such as the Google Nexus 7, and any Samsung Galaxy Tab and Samsung GALAXY Note tablet.
The app allows you to watch live streaming television of dozens of channels from any room in your house as long as you are a subscriber to Cox TV Essential or Advanced TV and Cox Preferred, Premier or Ultimate Internet service. In addition to live television, you can view a channel guide from anywhere and also use your tablet to remotely set your DVR. That comes in handy when over lunch, your friend tells you all about a new show that she insists you watch.
