After Android 4.1 Jelly Bean we were all looking forward to seeing the next version of Android, and all expected it to be called Key Lime Pie. Instead we got Android 4.2, and it was a new flavor of Jelly Bean, but no change in the name.
Now, it seems that we finally have as close to an official confirmation as it gets - a Google employee posted a comic timeline of Android versions and the last Android in the evolution line holds a lime pie! The Google employee is Manu Cornet, and there is no other way to interpret this as if he is thinking the next Android will be Key Lime Pie.
It’s not 100% certain, though. There is no reason for Google not to decide to change the name in the last minute, but chances are it won’t and Key Lime Pie will be the name of the next Android version.
And now that we have it, what would you like to see improve in the next Android? And would it be big enough to become Android 5.0, or 4.3?
