Consumers could be just weeks away from getting their hands on iOS 7.1
It looks like consumers are just a few weeks away from having iOS 7.1 running their Apple iPhone or Apple iPad. While no official statement was made, Apple has allegedly passed along the word that it does not plan on issuing anymore beta versions of the iOS 7.1 build. The last such release, iOS 7.1, beta 4, was released last month and at the time there was talk that Apple would push out 6 beta versions of the OS before iOS 7.1 would be launched in March.
As we noted last month, the beta versions of iOS 7.1 contained minor changes to the UI, a method to delete unwanted OTA files to increase storage space, and a fix that took care of a bug that forced the iPhone to reboot randomly. Apple iPhone owners would like the drop off in battery life seen since the switch to iOS 7 addressed, and the update is also supposed to bring iOS in the Car. The other day we showed you a video revealing how mapping and search capabilities looked on a simulator designed to copy the look of the auto based application.
If you're an iPhone or iPad user, you are going to want to keep checking in. As soon as we know when iOS 7.1 will be available to consumers, you will know.
