Confused about Samsung's new Gear wearables? This infographic should help
Samsung announced three new wearables back in February (Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit), and started selling them last month - at the same time with the company’s Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone. Worried that some customers may not know which of the three wearables to choose, Samsung made an infographic presenting their strengths and capabilities.
The infographic tells us that the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are made for those who “love to use all the smart features”, while the Gear Fit should attract users who “prefer a lighter band-type device.” The Gear Fit is significantly lighter than the other two devices (weighing only 27 grams), and fits better on your wrist, thanks to its 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display.
While all three wearables are dust- and water-resistant, only the Gear 2 has a built-in camera and a “premium metallic body” - that’s why it’s more expensive. The new Samsung wearables are currently widely available around the world. The Gear 2 costs $299, while the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are offered for $199.
