Confirmed: the OnePlus 2 will be a dual-SIM device, but will it come with a microSD card slot?

You will have to wait until July 28 if you are eager to see what OnePlus has been working on for the past few months, as its second phone ever, the OnePlus 2, will be officially unveiled on that date.

Specs-wise, we have a pretty good understanding of what the OnePlus will have under the hood - it was already confirmed that OnePlus's second try to woo the world will sport a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, 4GB of LPDDR4, as well as a fingerprint scanner. Additionally, first camera samples from the OnePlus 2 also surfaced just recently, showing what its shooter will be capable of.

Today is a new day, and we have a new confirmed feature that will grace the OnePlus 2's insides. OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu unveiled on Weibo (China's popular micro-blogging website) that the OnePlus 2 will trump its predecessor in yet another aspect.

The second-gen "flagship killer" will sport not one, but two SIM card slots. That's undoubtedly good news for those who have a sweet spot for dual-SIM devices.

Provided that we have already seen a number of phones that came with two SIM slots and a microSD card one, all fitted in the same tray, we might speculate that OnePlus could have also thrown in a memory expansion capability in its upcoming handset. Here's to hoping that this will be the case indeed.

We will find more about the OnePlus 2 on July 28, or earlier, if any of the OnePlus bigwigs spills the beans beforehand.
