Colorful Kevlar in store for the Motorola DROID Ultra chassis, see the hues here

The first time we learned that Motorola is indeed about to flesh out a DROID Ultra handset was through a slip on Moto's website: "Available in a bunch of glossy colors, this high-grade DuPont™ Kevlar body proves you can be even thinner and still be tough as steel," was the enigmatic description.

We got a couple of takeaways - that the phone will be thin but durable, and that the Kevlar thread might be colored this time for a range of "glossy" choices, instead of having that utilitarian black looks of Moto's previous Kevlar handsets.

We still don't know where the colored threads will be woven as a pattern on the back, like in the leaked pics of the MAXX, or the entire body will be of uniform color, like the exclusive red version for Verizon employees that gets bandied about, or maybe both.

In any case, the hues that these Kevlar threads from DuPont are available in, destined for the Droid Ultra body have appeared online, and they are indeed glossy as you can see above. The Moto X phone might also sport this Kevlar chassis option at some point, in its infinite customization wisdom. All the more reasons to wait for the official announcement of the new DROID gang today with bated breath.
