Codenames of the three 2018 Moto G6 variants leak
Earlier this month, specs for this year's Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play were leaked, along with  renders of each device and pricing. And yesterday, a Geekbench test revealed that the Moto G6 Play will probably launch with Android Oreo pre-installed. While Motorola isn't expected to introduce its higher-end handsets at MWC next week, it is possible that we could see the Moto G6 trio make an appearance.

This morning, the leakmeister himself, Evan Blass, disseminated a tweet that contained the codenames for the Moto G6 line. According to the reliable tipster, Motorola has the following pet names for the handsets:

According to previously leaked specs, the Moto G6 Plus is expected to feature a 5.93-inch display with a 1080 x 2160 FHD+ resolution. That works out to an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 mobile platform and carry as much as 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. A dual camera-setup is on back (12MP + 5MP) and a 16MP front-facing selfie shooter is said to be on board.

Motorola will opt for a more traditional 16:9 aspect ratio for the Moto G6 Plus' HD display. The latter weighs in at 5.7-inches and carries a resolution of 720 x 1280. The fingerprint scanner will be found in back, embossed with the Motorola batwings logo. This model comes with only one camera on each side of the phone, and will be offered in Dark Charcoal, Deep Blue and Gold.

Lastly, the Moto G6 will come with a 5.7-inch screen featuring a 1080 x 2160 resolution (FHD+), and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 450 chipset is under the hood and there will be two different versions of the device. One will carry 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, while the other has 4GB of RAM on board along with 64GB of native storage. A dual camera-setup is on back (12MP + 5MP) while a 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery.

Looking at the renders above from left to right, these are the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. The render at the top of the story shows the back of the Moto G6 Play. By the way, you might have noticed that the Moto name has been replaced with the Motorola branding on these 2018 handsets.
