Cingular Nokia N80 scores FCC approval

We've already reported about Nokia's N80 model with branding of Cingular but now there are 100% legit images – the ones from FCC approval of the phone. The N80 is quad-band GSM and dual-band WCDMA (UMTS) phone, so it can work almost anywhere there is a GSM or UMTS network.

The N80 also features 352x416 pixels 262k color display and 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, with additional one for video calling. It doesn't have some full keyboard, but features the Smartphone functionality in pretty small sliding case.

Nokia N80 main features include:

  • Sliding form-factor
  • Full Web browser with Mini Map
  • GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS 1900/2100MHz world phone
  • 352x416 pixels, 262k color display
  • 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, which can snap CIF videos; Additional one for Video Calling
  • 40MB of memory, expandable through miniSD cards
  • Infrared, Bluetooth, USB2.0, and Wi-Fi (802.11g) connectivity

Nokia N80 Complete Specification

There is no official information from Cingular or Nokia about the N80 availability in the US, but it already has the FCC approval, so it will probably start shipping in the same time, as in Europe.
