China Mobile has sent out invitations for an event to be held June 12th. A that time, the world's largest carrier is expected to introduce two new Android powered handsets that it is manufacturing. The new models are the A1 and the N1. Both models will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset and include 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The units will sport an 8MP/2MP camera combo and will feature a 3000mAh battery inside.
Last year, China Mobile released its own M811 mid-range smartphone, priced at the equivalent of $105 USD. Despite competition in the sector from ZTE and Huawei, the M811 has proven to be quite popular among many China Mobile subscribers. China Mobile, at last count, had over 800 million subscribers. More than 90 million of them are connected to the mobile operator's 4G LTE pipeline.
Details such as pricing and availability will likely be announced this coming Friday when the event takes place.
