Canadian Galaxy S6 owners on Telus will receive Nougat on April 10
Canadian owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+, we have good news for you, or at least for those on Telus.
The carrier will be seeding Android Nougat to S6 models on April 10, according to its schedule, and we're crossing our fingers that no unforeseen circumstances will deter Telus' plans, since S6 owners have been waiting quite awhile for the Nougat update.
The OTA update for the Galaxy S6 is a hefty one, weighing at a bit over 1 GB, and delivers a lot of new and exciting features to Samsung's 2015 flagship. The new additions include a refreshed user interface, similar to the so-called “Grace UX” that debuted on the ill-fated Note 7, security enhancements, and various other features that were introduced in the Nougat update for S7 and S7 edge.
If everything goes according to plan, Telus will be the first Canada-based carrier to update the S6 models to Nougat, Mobilesyrup reports.
